Marketing for security consulting firms

Security consulting sells judgment. The buyer is a business owner or an operations lead deciding whether your firm is the credible one, and they decide it from what they can see: your profiles, your posts, and whether any of it sounds like it was written by someone who understands the work. I run marketing for a security consultancy now, and I wrote a full examination of one before that work started. The pattern below is what I found, and what I keep finding.

What I keep finding

  • Real expertise that never makes it into public view, so the firm looks identical to every competitor with a stock photo and a slogan.
  • Services described in general language with no priced or clearly scoped offer a buyer can say yes to.
  • Profiles and pages with missing or wrong links, so the little traffic that arrives has nowhere to go.
  • Content aimed at other security professionals instead of the business owners who actually hire firms.
  • No measurement, so nobody can say whether the marketing produced a single conversation.

Authority is the product in this niche, and authority has to be visible to count.

It starts with the examination

Before I will sell a firm a single post, I examine five things in order: the offer (is there a scoped, priced service a buyer can act on), the destination (where every link and profile button actually lands), the audience (buyers, or peers who will never hire you), the content (what has measurably worked), and the measurement (whether an inquiry can be traced back to the marketing). $297, in writing, in five business days, with the fix order spelled out.

The Authority Pack, $895/mo

Once the funnel checks out, ongoing content built to make expertise visible: 12 posts a month on each of Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, plus 4 YouTube Shorts, every caption written separately for its platform, first comment links handled, and a monthly report with organic numbers only. Education that proves judgment, proof that the firm does the work, and one clear next step for a buyer in every cycle.

Find out what a buyer actually sees when they check your firm.

The examination tells us both. If your funnel is clean, the pack can start. If it is not, you get the fix order in writing either way.
