Marketing for MSPs and cybersecurity firms

I manage the social media team for a cybersecurity firm, and I have run its LinkedIn from about 160 followers to more than 1,200, organically. That growth did not come from posting more. It came from fixing what the posts pointed at, who they were written for, and whether anyone could prove they worked. MSPs and security firms sell trust to careful buyers, and careful buyers check everything. The pattern below is what I find when they do.

What I keep finding

  • A company page with no working website button, or links that land on a homepage instead of a service or industry page.
  • Content written for other IT people, while the buyers are owners and operations leads who think in risk and downtime, not tools.
  • Partner and vendor relationships never used as content, even though co-marketing is the cheapest credibility in this niche.
  • Compliance and assessment offers mentioned nowhere a buyer can act on them.
  • No tracking, so a year of posting cannot be connected to a single opportunity.

It starts with the examination

Before I will sell an MSP a single post, I examine five things in order: the offer (is there a scoped service a buyer can act on), the destination (where every link and profile button actually lands), the audience (buyers, or a follower base of other marketers and IT staff), the content (what has measurably worked), and the measurement (whether an opportunity can be traced back to the marketing). $297, in writing, in five business days, with the fix order spelled out.

The Partner and Proof Pack, $895/mo

Once the funnel checks out, ongoing content built for how this niche actually buys: 12 posts a month on each of Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, plus 4 YouTube Shorts, every caption written separately for its platform, first comment links handled, and a monthly report with organic numbers only, paid always reported separately. Industry specific content for the verticals you serve, partner proof, and education a business owner can act on.

Find out what is actually blocking your pipeline.

The examination tells us both. If your funnel is clean, the pack can start. If it is not, you get the fix order in writing either way.
